Auto shut-off feature

Auto-shut off helps to save hardware and, in some cases, software costs. In normal operations, when you disconnect or log off from your remote machine, it keeps running in the background. It allows running simulations or other long-running tasks without user interaction, such as simulation or seismic processing.

Several timers could be set individually for each machine:

  • idle/disconnect time out - workstation will be disconnected after a specific idle time. The default is none - the workstation keeps running as long as the remote window is opened.

  • log off time out - if the remote window is closed or disconnected after a specific time a user will be logged off. After logging off, all applications are closed. The default is 30 minutes.

  • shut down time out - if the logged-off machine is not connected, it will be shut down. The default is 15 minutes.
